Oresteia | Epidaurus | July 8-9

Aeschylus’ trilogy “Oresteia” goes on stage at the ancient theater of Epidaurus, in the Peloponnese, on Friday, July 8, and Saturday, July 9. Directed by Yiannis Houvardas, the play explores contrasting themes such as revenge and justice, with a cast led by Constantinos Markoulakis and Karyofyllia Karabeti. The production is part of the Greek Festival and features English subtitles. Shows start at 8 p.m. Admission ranges from 10 to 45 euros. Tickets for Greek Festival events can be purchased online as well as at the festival’s box offices at 39 Panepistimiou St, inside the arcade (open Mondays to Fridays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.) and the Herod Atticus Theater on Dionysiou Aeropagitou St (open 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. daily).
