Palmyra Requiem Extension | Athens | To September 25
The Benaki Museum is extending until September 25 “Palmyra Requiem,” an exhibition by artist Alecos Levidis. The show, at the museum’s Kolonaki headquarters, is a sensitive commentary on the destruction of the ancient remains at Palmyra in Syria by the so-called Islamic State. Levidis uses the museum’s showcases to exhibit an assemblage of objects that reflect his own experience of visiting the ancient site. Runs through August 28.
