Russia’s Igor Moiseyev State Academic Ensemble of Popular Dance is expected in Athens and Thessaloniki for a series of performances running June 29-30 and July 4-6, respectively. In Athens shows will take place at the Herod Atticus Theater and in Thessaloniki at the port city’s Concert Hall. The ballet troupe was established in Moscow in 1937 as the first professional company of traditional and popular dances of the former USSR. The company’s Greek performances are part of the current Greek-Russian Year of Friendship. Shows start at 9 p.m. Admission for the Athens shows ranges from 20 to 60 euros (16 euros reduced), and for the Thessaloniki performances from 20 to 50 euros (16 euros reduced).
