Greece-Israel Journalists’ Forum | Athens | May 17
In association with the Embassy of Israel in Athens, Kathimerini newspaper is organizing an open discussion between leading Israeli and Greek journalists and analysts on the subject of “Geopolitical Shifts and Challenges in the East Mediterranean and Middle East.” The event takes place at the Cervantes Institute in Athens on Tuesday, May 17. Taking part in the discussion is Nahum Barnea, senior political editor and columnist at Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper, Dana Weiss, new anchor and chief correspondent for “Saturday Night News” on Israel’s Channel 2, Amos Harel, chief military correspondent at Haaretz newspaper, Nikos Konstandaras, managing editor and senior columnist at Kathimerini, and Thanos Dokos, director general at the Hellenic Foundation for European & Foreign Policy (ELIAMEP) and Kathimerini contributor. Moderating the discussion is Tom Ellis, senior political editor and columnist at Kathimerini. The event, which will be in English, takes place from 1 to 3 p.m. and admission is free of charge.
