The French Institute in Athens is hosting an evening dedicated to French novelist, playwright and political activist Jean Genet (1910-86) on the occasion of the publication of a number of his works in Greek by Agra Editions. The event takes place on Monday, February 8 and includes a round-table discussion featuring director-translator Victor Arditti, author-translator Spyros Yannaras and author Savvas Michail, a selection of readings, as well as a screening of Genet’s 1950 film “Un chant d’amour” (A Song of Love). Starts at 7 p.m. In Greek and French with simultaneous translation.
