New Year’s Concert | Athens | January 8

The ERT National Symphonic Orchestra performs its New Year’s Concert at the Athens Concert Hall on Friday, January 8. The evening’s program includes well-known overtures and arias from operas by Rossini, Puccini, Verdi, Mozart and Wagner as well as works by Elgar, Brahms and Tchaikovsky, among others. Also performing is soprano Vassiliki Karayanni. The ensemble is led by Michalis Economou. Starts at 8.30 p.m. Prices for tickets range from 8 to 20 euros (5 euros for students and the unemployed).
