The British Council, in partnership with Culture Action Europe and Agenda 21 for Culture, presents “Kathreptis,” an international meeting on the future of the city. Participants will discuss the present and futures of cities, the integration of culture in urban strategy and policies of sustainability. The event takes place at the Art Factory-Technostasio in Tavros, southern Athens, on Friday, November 20, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Taking part in the discussion is Ivor Davies, independent adviser and researcher in international cultural policy, Clarisa Ruiz-Correal, secretary for culture, leisure and sport in Bogota, Francois Matarasso, honorary professor at Robert Gordon University in Scotland, Marc Villarubias, head of cultural cooperation at the Department of Cultural Affairs in Lyon, and Stella Duffy, founder and co-director of the Fun Palaces campaign in the UK for wider participation in all forms of arts and culture.
