The Greek National Opera Orchestra and Choir pay tribute to Mikis Theodorakis, who turned 90 earlier this year, with a gala performance at the Olympia Theater on Saturday, October 10. Led by Ilias Voudouris, the ensembles will be joined on stage by soloists Julia Souglakou, Eleni Davou, Yiannis Christopoulos, Petros Magoulas and Gina Poulou in excerpts from emblematic works, including the composer’s Symphonies No 1, 3 and 7, “Canto General” and his ballet “Zorbas.” The performance is set to start at 8.30 p.m. Admission ranges from 8 to 15 euros. Tickets can be purchased at the Olympia Theater box office and on the company’s website.
