The Breeder Gallery in Athens presents a solo show by artist Jannis Varelas on Thursday, September 24. “New Flags for a New Country” is divided into two sections: The first presents a large-scale work exploring the notion of absent-mindedness, while the second is a four-hour performance. The artist’s work explores the contrasts between appearance and reality and exposes the increasingly theatrical nature of our daily lives. The exhibition runs through October 24. Opening hours are Tuesdays to Saturdays from noon to 6 p.m.
