The operatic monodrama “Charlotte,” with music and libretto by emerging Greek composer Lina Zachari, debuts nationwide at the National Opera’s Alternative Stage at the Stavros Niarchos Cultural Center on June 13 and 15. Directed by Rinio Kyriazi, with Myrsini Chatzikonstanti conducting the eight-member ensemble, mezzo-soprano Ioanna Forti stars in the title role. Inspired by unrequited love, the work presents an acrobatic, operatic monologue exploring desire, demons and the wounds of loss. Tickets range between 10 and 15 euros from ticketservices.gr.
