Six Shows & More | Athens | March 8- November 11
The National Museum of Contemporary Art Athens (EMST) presents a series of exhibitions dedicated exclusively to the work of women or artists identifying as feminine. “What if Women Ruled the World?” is inspired by Yael Bartana’s 2017 neon work and spearheaded by EMST’s artistic director Katerina Gregou, and comprises a program that explores themes of governance, violence, justice and equality. On March 8, International Women’s Day, six exhibitions will be opening – including “Salt” (pictured) by photographer Lola Flash – followed by performances by Swiss visual artist Claudia Comte and American performing artist Jeanna Criscitiello. Admission to the museum costs 8 euros.
