Doxiades to teach seminar

Writer Apostolos Doxiades will be heading a seminar organized by the EKEBI National Book Center on «The Narrative Structure and Synopsis as a Tool for the Writer.» Within the context of a series of seminars organized by EKEBI’s Book Workshop program, this six-week class is aimed at both experienced and inexperienced writers who want to study, in theory and practice, the general principles governing a narrative’s structure. The seminar includes theoretical and practical courses and examines the structures of different forms of narrative, such as screenplays, theatrical plays and novels, as well as non-fiction narrative. At the end of the course, students will have had the opportunity to present a basic narrative synopsis of an idea of their own, based on the three-act structure model. The seminar will run from May 25 to June 29, every Thursday from 5-8 p.m. and the entire course is priced at 250 euros, with a special discount for students. Applications should be submitted by May 15 and accompanied by a sample of writing, three to four pages long, published or not. Doxiades will be selecting which 15 students will attend.
