Madonna tour skips Greek stop

Pop icon Madonna, who is about to embark on a world tour, is not planning to visit Greece – at least for now. Despite her announcement that she wants to turn the world into a huge dancefloor, she did not include Greece on her concert schedule. Her two managers and her tour organizer, however, say she will soon add more dates. The 47-year-old American diva has already started rehearsing vigorously in Los Angeles, temporarily abandoning England, where she has been living with her husband and children for the past few years. She will be in the United States and Canada from May to July, and she is expected to hit Europe in August and September and then move on to Japan. This will be the diva’s first international tour since the 56 concerts that comprised her 2004 «Re-Invention» tour. Her latest album, released last November, is doing very well in 40 countries. The new tour, titled «Confessions,» will be directed by Jamie King, whom Madonna has been working with for a long time, and will also bear the signature of Stuart Price as musical director. Arianne Phillips and French designer Jean-Paul Gaultier will design the costumes for Madonna and her dancers.
