Thessaloniki festival director, Athens Concert Hall artistic director resign
Dimitris Eipides (photo), director of the Thessaloniki International Film Festival, on Monday announced he was stepping down as the head of the annual cinema event.
In an open letter, Eipides noted that it was “the right time” for him to resign and “pass on the torch to a new generation.”
Eipides was appointed director of the festival’s New Horizons section in 1992, before taking over as director of the entire event in 2010.
Also on Monday, composer Giorgos Kouroupos announced he was resigning as the artistic director of the Athens Concert Hall.
He had been appointed as interim artistic director in December 2012.
