Rebuild Artemida...

Antonis Nikolopoulos/Eurokinissi

Cypriot President Tassos Papadopoulos views the damage done by wildfires this summer at the village of Artemida in the Peloponnese. More than a dozen people from the village died in the fires. Cyprus has undertaken a project to rebuild Artemida and will cover the cost of some 14 million euros needed to construct 48 homes and 25 other buildings. Construction is expected to begin in January and be completed by the middle of 2009.
