A student gets...

Thanassis Dimopoulos/Eurokinissi

A student gets fellow protesters into the mood during a rally in central Athens yesterday. The students, affiliated with the Communist Party (KKE), object to reforms foreseeing the stricter control of state universities and the creation of private universities. They distanced themselves yesterday from members of other factions who have been sabotaging university rector elections. Another rally is planned for the end of next week. The action has been restrained compared to last year’s violent student protests.
