Eurokinissi

A pickup is submerged in Evros yesterday after the River Ardas broke its banks. Authorities in northern Greece last night remained on standby after the water level of the Evros River rose dangerously. About 3,000 hectares of land have been flooded. The government said flood-stricken citizens would get a 3,000-euro payout.
