A truck crashed...

Vassilis Psomas/ANA

Firemen struggle to cut through the mangled wreck of a truck that crashed in the center of Corinth, east of Athens, in the early hours of yesterday. The driver of the lorry was hospitalized with serious injuries after firemen eventually extricated him from the wreck. The truck driver, who had reportedly been drinking with fellow workers at a Corinth nightclub hours earlier, had been speeding prior to the accident, police said. It was unclear whether any of his colleagues had been in the vehicle when it crashed.
