An elderly woman walks past ferries tied up in Piraeus harbor yesterday as seamen embarked on a 48-hour strike seeking better social security benefits. The protest ends at 6 a.m. tomorrow. The Panhellenic Seamen’s Federation has threatened to stage further strikes unless the government addresses their demands.
