Turkish aircraft violates Greek air space in the Aegean

A Turkish CN-235 aircraft flew over the Aegean islet of Panagia shortly before noon on Wednesday at 1,500 feet, Greek defense officials said.

In spring, Greek officials expressed concern that a spate of Turkish violations of Greek air space and waters with military jets and warships could lead to an escalation of tensions between the two neighbors.

The violations have reduced in frequency since then.
