Police make 14 arrests during anti-austerity protests in Athens
Greek Police arrested 14 people following anti-austerity protests in Athens on Sunday.
Eleven of the people were arrested in the area of Exarchia and the other three near Syntagma Square after they broke off from a peaceful protest and lobbed firebombs at police.
The detainees included three Greeks as well as three French nationals, two Swiss, four Iranians, an Austrian and a Cypriot.
The arrests came just a few hours after hooded youths lobbed firebombs at police near the National Archaeological Museum and the Culture Ministry early on Sunday.
