Golden Dawn spokesman Kasidiaris released from custody
The spokesman of Golden Dawn, Ilias Kasidiaris, was on Wednesday released from custody, where he had been awaiting trial on a string of criminal charges along with dozens of other MPs and members of the neofascist party.
Kasidiaris was given conditional release a year after being detained on weapons charges after a council of appeals court judges deemed that “the legal weight” of the offense is not adequate to justify detention.
The GD spokesman, who was not deemed to be a flight risk, has been ordered not to attend party rallies and to report regularly to his local police station.
